One of the highlights of our Permanent collection will be on exhibition, this autumn, in Glasgow Art Club's historic main gallery. This is JAD MacKean, Paisley Burgh treasurer, donated by his relative, our Colin MacKean, current treasurer of the Institute. He is in the portrait above the fireplace of the Art Club dining room, being a club member in 1933. His Brother, William Muir MacKean, was the Provost of Paisley, and negotiated our agreement to share the custom built 6 Art Galleries.

It was expertly painted by Maurice Grieffenhagen.
