Guidelines for Artwork

The work will be shown in a retail space which is a large open shop unit with white walls, 20m by 11m.  There are two roller shutter entry-exit points which are 1.5 width by 2m height.  Any work larger than these dimensions may be difficult to accept in.  Please ensure you have your own assistance on arrival. Work should be suitably presented for the exhibition, no clip or metal frames and all works framed or unframed should be strong enough to hang. We would ask that you mirror plate your work halfway down the frame on the left and right sides (see images), and wrap padding around the mirror plates to protect the artwork during transport. Unframed works should be supplied with a suitable hanging method (eg. large unframed paper works hung using clips).  Please note a number of works may have to be shown digitally on screens if there is insufficient hanging space and where larger works may affect the hanging plan.

Labels
We will provide PRE-PRINTED artist labels for you on arrival.  However if you wish you may affix a personal address label and phone number.  Please make sure that handwriting is clear and legible.

Loss or Damage
While the Institute makes every effort to provide the greatest possible care of all works, it will not be responsible for any loss or damage, or any injury arising from any cause whatsoever. Artists are advised to arrange their own insurance.
