I was born in Narobi, Kenya of Sikh decent and had lived in many parts of the world before coming to London and then finally Scotland. Having worked in fashion all my life I see my progression into art as a natural extension. I have been self taught (although art has always been my passion) and through attending classes. I enjoy still life trying to capture the light and the dark elements in the painting and attention to detail. Bold colours and strong narrative help to create my work which shows how it can influence our life. As an artist I hope to take a journey of colour by building up layers to help create a mood in my painting.

I continue to develop my style with use of acrylics and oils. I have been President and Vice President for the Helensburgh Art Club for 12 years and sell my work through Annual Exhibition and our one day sales.
