My work looks at coastal settlements by sketching on location then developing the ideas through printmaking and painting back in the studio. My previous life as an architect strongly influences my work. I have been working as an artist for 10 years. During lockdown, for source material, I have had to rely on my sketchbooks from previous outings or use my local vicinity – the northern foothills of the Pentland Hills. The two works are both monoprints made in my own studio on a small press.
