I live and work in Cairndow, at the head of Loch Fyne, an area of mountains, woodland, and coast.
My work is inspired by organic shapes in nature and particularly the natural forms I discover when walking along the shore. I also have a deep fascination with translucency and with the element of chance that exists when shapes, lines and colours overlap and where parts are hidden or can only be discovered by taking a close look. Watercolour is the perfect medium for exploring this and is currently the main focus of my work, although I create work in mixed media and textiles.
