John Martin Fulton
I studied painting at the Glasgow School of Art, winning the RSA John Kinross Scholarship to Florence and the GSA Landscape Prize when graduating in 2004.
After graduating I studied for an MA in Newspaper Journalism and for many years worked as a newspaper reporter.
In the past 6 years I have been leading art groups in social care settings: working with adults recovering from addiction, suffering mental health problems or homelessness, with adults with learning disabilities, and with vulnerable children.
As part of this work for the past 5 years, I have established weekly art groups at Turnaround Residential Rehab in Paisley and at the Turning Point Scotland Renfrewshire Learning Disability Service.
In recent years I began focusing on a professional art career, with a studio at Crownpoint Studios in Glasgow’s East End. I have begun exhibiting with Lemond Gallery, Bearsden, and with Thou Art in Bothwell.
