Self-taught, my abstract images begin with found images – my interest is drawn to surfaces, textures and colours. These are often digitally manipulated, blending multiple images before printing. I increasingly create collages with multiple prints collaged with other materials and incorporating other mark making techniques using art paints and inks.Although I strive for the abstract, I like working from found images so that the final work will retain an “organic memory” of the real world which in turn provides a hook for the viewer’s imagination.
