Hongil Yoon


Yoon Hong Il b.1993 in Seoul, South Korea. Works and lives in Glasgow, United Kingdom. In his drawing, Hongil shows his perspectives emotion, related to the recollective images, or image represented the people’s thought. The abstract lines and shape flow with the imaginary symbols of the memory.

He used the thin brush for using the various feature of lines on the drawing. The balance between lingering imaginary and black lines evokes the feeling of a boy who he meets through drawing. This way of expression is communication with an object that he encounters through association. The shape of the drawing resembles the image of Garcon’s adolescence.

Recently, he had the solo exhibition “City of Solitude” in Seoul. He had a group exhibition, “PERSONA”, UK and will have another group exhibition “INSTABILITY AND PRECARIOUSNESS” in Rome, Italy.
