Eleanor Mcgowan based in troon works in a modern scottish colourist style. throughout her career she has explored different techniques to express the emotions she experiences in a single moment and the inspiration of her life experience to create dynamic and contemplative paintings.

From still life, to seascapes eleanore depicts treasured memories, quirky happenings, figurative imagery and scenes from her daily life often with HUMOROUS titles. These paintings are layered with symbols and unique visual devices to convey multi-layered meanings and invite continuous interest, discussion and intrigue.

Eleanor is an elected member of the PAI (Paisley arts institute) and the GSWA (Glasgow society of women artists) and has received several awards for her painting. her work has been exhibited in well-known galleries throughout scotland and the uk and is held in international collection.
