Recently retired from teaching, I’m now able to paint full time. Exhibited regularly in the 90s in group exhibitions in Glasgow, Paisley, Edinburgh and London. Was awarded first prize in the Angus College National Art Competition 1998. Enjoy working with a range of media, and main subjects are portraits or landscapes with a human presence. A recurring theme is our relationship with nature and our imagnative response to the the complex feelings it can provoke in us.

I exhibited strongly narrative and slightly surreal work regularly in the 1990s. It seems to consist mainly of women who are either tearing things apart to question and scrutinise their world, or desperately trying to hold their precarious existence together and stop it from collapsing.
