David McNeice

I paint in a variety of media including acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolour and, more recently, digital art on iMac or iPad. An active member of the Ayr Sketch Club, I exhibit with them regularly at galleries such as the Maclaurin in Ayr and the Barony in West Kilbride. I take my inspiration from a broad range of subjects and influences from portraiture to landscapes and still life. My first work for submission is a narrative landscape in acrylic showing one of the last Clyde Puffers and incorporating the Perch Lighthouse, Port Glasgow. This painting draws on my childhood growing up on the Clyde Coast. My second work is a pastel image highlighting the influence and impact that colour made to our once black and white world as represented by the media.
