My name is Craig, I was born and grew up in Paisley where I attended Paisley Grammar School. I am now working as an Architect and live a short distance from Loch Lomond. I have dabbled with drawing and painting from a young age and discovered an interest in figure drawing and portraiture while attending Cardonald College prior to university.
My submission is titled “20:20 Vision” and is a self-portrait. The inspiration for the piece is a tongue-in-cheek representation of my experience of wearing face-mask and glasses during the Covid-19 pandemic. As many glasses wearers will attest, face masks have a tendency to direct breath upwards and fog up your glasses.
The piece is A4 and drawing in pencil on 300gsm watercolour paper.
