I am an artist member of PAI and Cowal Open Studios and a member of Artists in Motion, a pan European organisation, based in France.  I work in pure watercolour, mostly wet on wet with dry brush work to finish.

I have been observing, drawing and painting since I was a child living on the Isle of Arran and have a lifelong love and passion for Watercolour painting. Watercolours seem to have a life of their own, an ethereal, mysterious medium to fascinate the artist and viewer alike. Like life itself they can be unpredictable which I love.  The West Coast of Scotland is my inspiration, land and lochs, seas and skies from Cowal to the Highlands and Islands.  I do love my islands and many of my paintings are taken from various and many visits and stays on Scotland’s West Coast. I’m either on an island or looking at them from a distance. From the Isle of Arran to St Kilda and everywhere in between. All hold a mystery that captures the heart.

I have held many solo and joint exhibitions where my work has found its way to New Zealand, Germany, South Africa, Barcelona and many different regions of the UK from Cornwall to Lewis.

Currently exhibiting at; Castle Gallery, Rothesay; Stables Gallery, Inveraray; Seagull Gallery, Gourock Currently exhibiting with AiM in “Please Leave A Light On” exhibition in Dunoon Burgh Hall, Dunoon.
