Caroline Chinn

Caroline Chinn grew up on Deeside and Donside in North-East Scotland and graduated in Drawing and Painting from Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen.  She has work retained in the Robert Gordon University Permanent Collection. Following teacher training at Moray House, University of Edinburgh, she taught in the Isle of Haris, Western Isles, and for 25 years at Robert Gordon’s College, Aberdeen.  While there, she was awarded a three-month Governor’s Sabbatical to Cyprus, where she painted at the Cyprus College of Art, and exhibited her work.

During her time in Aberdeen, she was elected a Professional Member of Aberdeen Artists’ Society, and exhibited at their Annual Exhibitions, Grampian Hospitals Art Trust and Art Aboyne.  She has also exhibited in Glasgow as a member of RGI. Caroline enjoys working with ideas and takes inspiration from the environment as well as exploring social, political and conflict issues.  Work includes Painting, Printmaking, Textiles and Mixed Media pieces.
