My previous career in education, community development and psychotherapy has been centred around finding creative ways to support others on their journeys towards wellbeing. Now retired from that I am able to focus full time on my own creativity. Over the years I have attended part time classes run by various artists and makers as well as Glasgow University and Glasgow School of Art.
I enjoy using different media and allow my connection to the subject to inspire my approach. Each piece is a new adventure. Sometimes I explore a theme in different ways using a range of materials. My inspiration comes from various sources:- a scene enjoyed, encounters with nature, memories, emotions felt or a particular pattern of light.
