Ann Armstrong
Ann Armstrong, Diploma in Drawing and Painting, Glasgow School of Art ’74,
Inspired by the shifting atmospheres and geographies encountered through travel, the subjects of her pastel, watercolour or oil paintings could be the grey subdued light of a Parisian street in winter, the blinding midday sun on the Nile, or a brooding Scottish hillside shrouded by cloud, transcribing the vibrant or subtle colours of her subject matter.
She has participated in many group exhibitions, including the Royal Scottish Society of Watercolour Artists, Royal Glasgow Institute, The Aspect Prize, Paisley Art Institute Drawing Competition, McMillan Cancer Annual Charity exhibition Bonhams, Edinburgh and many group exhibitions with various galleries.
