
Alison Brewster
Alison Brewster is a Glasgow born and based contemporary artist who enjoys creating both 2D and 3D work using a variety of disciplines and techniques.
Alison gained a BA with Distinction in Contemporary Art from University of the West of Scotland and is now embarking on her Honours year which will be completed in 2020. She has been involved in numerous group/collaborative exhibitions, displaying at venues including The New Glasgow Society, Glasgow (2017), The Garment Factory, Glasgow (2018) and The Old Hairdressers, Glasgow (2019). In the PAI Scottish Drawing Competition 2017, Alison received the Independent Financial Student Award and the following year she received the Cass Art Award at the PAI 130th Annual Exhibition.
Taking inspiration from everyday situations and specifically using materials which others would discard, Alison is continually working on projects which allow her to demonstrate this ethos. Her combined collage and text pieces are very well received and Alison and has
already undertaken several private commissions.
