Dr David Walker - Artist Member, Life Member

Although accepted by Glasgow School of Art in 1974 David decided to travel abroad and eventually trained as an engineer in Rotterdam. Nonetheless, he has been painting and drawing for much of his adult life and is a former member of the Glasgow Southern Art Club and an Artist Member of the PAI – exhibiting work with both.

Having decided to go to University in 1998 his art took a back seat for 10 years whilst he successfully gained a BA Hons, an M.Phil and a PhD in Social History. Since retiring he has been able to ‘re-engage’ by regularly taking part in a life drawing group at the WASPS studios in Glasgow and has started painting again.
