Franzeska Ewart - Artist Member

I was a children’s writer for 25 years and have had about 30 books published and was shortlisted for a Scottish Children’s Book Award. I wrote one adult novel, The Faraway, about two women artists, and then I painted pictures based on the book. Now I’m painting full time and preparing an exhibition entitled The Birds Bear Gifts. I co-own a gallery in Kilbirnie, called the Weekend Gallery, which exists to support emerging artists by giving them a space to hold solo shows which are filmed and put on YouTube and Facebook.
