Paint is the language I use to record the environment around me, both outside and inside my home. I usually paint directly in front of the subject or from sketches which are then worked up in the studio. Often the work goes it's own way, the paint itself becoming just as important as the subject. My studio is located in the South West of Scotland near the town of Ayr.
