Denise M Fraser BA Hons, Dip COT
A Glasgow born, painter and textile artist who graduated from Glasgow School of Art, specialising in drawing and painting). A history of thirty years exhibiting artwork throughout London, South England and Scotland. Artwork can be found in private collections in Britain, Ireland, and Australia.

Recent paintings and art textiles explore the tenuous relationship between man and the natural world. Denise is essentially an observer with an enquiring mind, who has always been intrigued by the stories of classical antiquity and how the characters play out in the ancient natural world. As the theme for a solo exhibition develops the figurative designs emerge to include a layering of symbolic meaning and imagery. All artwork is based on preparatory life studies and plein air paintings.The landscape paintings document nature trails and coastlines, to highlight the importance of areas under threat.
