Sandra Ratcliffe - Artist Member

I am a west coast of Scotland artist living and working in South Ayrshire. I have been exhibiting for 20 years, mostly in Scotland, but have also had solo exhibitions in Spain and the United Arab Emirates. I am inspired by the light and ever changing weather around the coast and our islands. The power of nature provides my inspiration throughout the seasons. Like many artists I constantly strive to capture the beauty in an expressionist style.

I studied part time for three years at Glasgow School of Art, although I was a journalist in my previous career. I paint mostly sky and seascapes, and this is reflected in my two submissions:
1. Titian Sunset with Cyan Moon 2. Catching The Storm Light.
I entered PAI for the first time last year and was delighted that my painting Granite Sky, Teal Sea was sold.
