Ruth A Castle - Artist Member

Ruth A. Castle has been an enthusiastic artist since her childhood in Glasgow. After graduating in psychology at Glasgow University, she maintained a her keen interest in the creative arts and attended open classes at Glasgow School of Art, the Open College of the Arts and also classes held by local artists. She later went on to study music at Glasgow University.

Ruth is an elected Artist Member and has served on the committees of Paisley Art Institute and Glasgow Society of Women Artists, exhibiting with them and many charitable organisations.  She has also held solo exhibitions and was a member of the former botanical painting group at Glasgow Botanical Gardens.  She still enjoys producing botanical art, as well as importing its techniques into the creation of her still life paintings.

Ruth has won prizes in previous PAI exhibitions.
