Maggie Wilson - Artist Member

My artwork covers a range of subject matter, including portraiture, figure compositions, Scottish landscape, and botanical flowers.

I work in a variety of media from watercolour, procion dyes, gouache and photography. This allows me to interpret colour, with sensitive layering and varying opacity. Originally, I was trained as a Printed Textile designer, so colour and pattern play an important part in all my work, plus the use of an organic line and asymmetrical compositions produce a contemporary outcome.

Having worked as a freelance artist/designer before going into education I am now enjoying more time to explore and develop new approaches to my work.
